US stocks up, USD mixed
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Equities in Wall Street are rising modestly on Thursday and remained near the highs while European markets finished mixed. Among indexes, the FTSE 100 rose 0.43%, the Dax 0.28% and the Cac 40 0.24% while on the negative side the FTSE MIB lost 0.29% and the Ibex 35 declined 0.09%.
In the US, the Dow Jones was up 0.23%, the Nasdaq 0.27% and the S&P 500 0.32%. Gold was flat, hovering around $1,313 after rising to test $1,320. Crude oil was plunging more than 1.50% trading slightly above $96.00 a barrel.
Among currencies the US dollar was mixed. The Euro and the Pound remained weak while the Yen lost momentum during the American session. The Kiwi and the Aussie were among the best performers.
